So first let’s talk about heading tags. There are basically 6 heading tags in the HTML language of web page. These are H1, H2, H3, H4, H5, and H6. They range in the size of alphabets.
H1 is the largest heading and H6 is smallest. Their size varies depending on pixels. Even you can change the size of H1. But they have a predefined size.
Now let’s talk about optimizing and incorporating the heading tags. So H1 should be used only once on a page. Write main heading of the page in H1 tag. Use your main keyword in H1 tag. H1 must be the title of your post and content.
Use no more than two H2s on the page. Use sub-headings in H2 tag. Incorporate relevant keywords in the sub-headings. H2 tags must be highly relevant to your main heading (H1).
Your main focus must be on H1 and H3 tags. The use of multiple headings can be spam unless you have a lengthy post of 2000-3000 words. Optimize your keywords in the main heading and sub-headings. Every heading must be relevant to the main theme of content of the post.
