Transactional Keywords are very specific keywords. They are helpful for online business. Basically they contain queries like buy, price, affordable price, cheap, etc. These keywords have high conversion rate. Intent of the user is very clear.

Informational Keywords:

Informational keywords are basically for finding information. They contain question queries like how, why, what, etc. User who just want to find information about something use these keywords. They are useful in making clients as when you provide them information they are going to buy that product from you.

While doing keywords research you must look on the following things regarded to the keywords.

Search Volume

The number of monthly searches keyword has. Obviously we are going to rank for keywords that have some searches. This is important to look for the searches of keyword for specific period of time. We also look at the trends of keywords. Trends help us to understand the ups and downs in the searches of keywords.


Competition is very important in keyword research. Competition is how many web pages are there against your keyword in the search result. As high competition keywords are difficult to rank. So we might consider the competition while choosing keywords.


Intent means what really user wants to see in the result of that keyword. What was in the mind of user while typing these keywords in the search engine? That will help to provide the right information to user.
